Got Teens?

Relationship Boot Camp: Mother and Daughter Weekend Retreat
September 22-24, 2017
Build the relationship you always wanted

Does your teenage daughter bristle every time you speak?

Does it seem like your mom doesn't get you at all?

Do you feel like you are not being heard?

Want to head off emotional meltdowns before they happen?

Take A Moment To Imagine What Your
Ideal Relationship With Your Teen
Would Look And Feel Like

Picture walking over to sit next to your daughter on the couch.

  • How would you expect her to react?

  • Do you envision feeling welcomed and loved?

  • Will your conversations be warm and comfortable?

Perhaps your relationship with your daughter looks more like this…

  • She snarls when you offer a suggestion.

  • She’s sarcastic when you ask her about her day.

  • She disengages with everything except her phone.

If your daughter is having difficulty with the most important female relationship in her life, the one with YOU, her mother, most likely she is not handling her interactions with other people well, either.

Does difficulty in handling relationships in high school translate into similar experience in college?

According to The College Board, the average American family is willing to invest $80,000 in a four-year public college education for their kids (or a whopping $180,000 for a private education)… and then, 30% of college freshman drop out.

30% Drop Out!

What if I told you that by intervening now, you could stack the deck for your daughter’s success in her favor, and improve your relationship at the same time? Help is here in the form of a weekend getaway for just you and your teen.

Relationship Boot Camp Weekend Retreat for Mothers and Daughters is a way for you to give your teenager the relationship tools she needs now, before she is out on her own. Investing this kind of targeted time in your daughter before she’s old enough to leave home could make all the difference in the world.

What if you could help your teen daughter
get a handle on her relationships
before the challenges of college make her flounder?

Today, we have a very exciting invitation for you.

Join us on September 22-24, 2017 for our Relationship Boot Camp Weekend Retreat for Mothers and Daughters. Revitalize yourselves at a beautiful New England venue, with fantastic food and spectacular speakers, and work on your relationship without the distractions of home.

From other hormonal teenage girls.

I have dietary restrictions. Can they be accommodated?
On the registration form you will be asked if you have any food allergies, sensitivities, restrictions or preferences in your diet and our chef will accommodate them. We easily accommodate vegetarians, vegans, and those on gluten- and dairy-free diets.

What should I bring?

Bring an open mind and your best smile. Beyond that, you might want to pack a yoga mat for the morning stretch session. If you arrive early on Frida, bring walking shoes for the trails, or equipment for their tennis court. In addition, bring toiletries, layered clothing, and warm clothes and gloves for sitting around the bonfire…and you will definitely want pajamas. Dress will be casual. We supply all materials for the workshop.

When does the Early Bird rate of $1997 end?

The Early Bird rate must be paid in full by July 15, 2017. Starting July 16, 2016, the least expensive rate will be $2450 if paid in full. However, you can pay as little as $650 for your Hold My Spot deposit. Contact us if you need to discuss arrangements.

What is the daily schedule?
A typical retreat begins on Friday at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. and an evening program* that runs until about 9 p.m

On Saturday, breakfast starts at 8 a.m. Our program* runs from 9 till noon (although you are welcomed to Greet The Morning with us at 7 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday). After lunch we meet again from about 1 to 4 p.m. You have unstructured family  time until dinner at 6 p.m. After dinner, the evening program* runs until approximately 9 p.m.

On Sunday after we Greet The Morning, we have breakfast at 8 a.m., and then a morning program* before lunch, and a closing program after. The retreat ends at approximately 3:30 p.m.

* “Program” refers to a unique curriculum developed for this group, including story sharing, writing prompts, experiential exercises, and fireside talks in the evenings.

What will the group be like?
The group will be a diverse collection of women and their teenage daughters from all over the U.S. (and sometimes from abroad) who want to explore and strengthen their relationship to better navigate the difficult teen years. Women who sign up for these retreats do so because they feel ready to examine the impact they and their daughters have on each other. Some attend because they are caught in a negative loop that needs to be interrupted. Some are here to arm themselves before problems arise.
